2008 Artist's Concept

 

The 2008 Tournament of Roses Theme is “PASSPORT TO WORLD’S CELEBRATIONS”.

Our Float committee has selected the Float and Theme “SPECIAL DELIVERY”. This float depicts a large three wheeled postal delivery motorcycle driven by a bear, dressed in a motorcycle helmet, goggles and a scarf flying back in the wind. A large mail sack is on the back of the motorcycle loaded with mail, being delivered from all countries of the World. The motorcycle is moving very fast causing a whirlwind, the post cards are flying out from the mail sack encircling the entire motor cycle.  Each post card is stamped with postage from various countries of the world, with a super-imposed picture of a person’s face and/or an interesting place or event. Each post card is decorated to bring out the details with various seeds, flowers, bark, flower pedals.
