Brother Pete Sellars, of Yerba Buena Lodge No. 15, has written and published two books in the last year. They are being well received in several book stores in San Francisco.
His first Odd Fellows book, The History of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in the City of San Francisco was placed in all twenty-two library branches in San Francisco, Stanford University Library Special Collections, and several other prominent locations. The Mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom, also thanked brother Pete for his work on the project.
The second book is the about the first Odd Fellows Home in California. Calling Out from the Past. This book has been out for only three months and has been selling very well too. This book was featured in the Butte County Historical Society news bulletin in January.
"It is surprising there are so few contemporary books concerning the Odd Fellows in California, said brother Pete. "The Order's history is so fascinating, interesting, and rich."
